American Idol... Slays Me.

I feel bad. I watched 2 hours of American Idol. Not only do I feel bad because I chose to watch it, and I thus pushed back my laundry another day, but I think most of the people they make fun of have some sort of MR. (People first language, look it up)

Now, I could be doing a load of whites right now, as it is a commercial break, but I really do think about 45% of the people I just watched had a lower than average IQ. I promise, some of these people had no idea that Simon was making fun of them. He even called one a monkey. Granted, he was crazy looking, but I wouldn't say that to his face if I weren't sure of his mental state.

These people are either on drugs, are drunk, are inbred, or are really, really in need of a special needs teacher. Yeah I said it, it's not as bad as what Simon has been saying to the contestants. Thank God for Paula for her since and compassion. Oops, not even she can stop laughing at this guy.

I can't get over it... Watch it. I hope people Tivo'd it. I hope someone puts it on YouTube.

CES Magic

Now normally, I will never sing the praises of Microsoft, it's operating system, it's hardware... It's executive board... ever. EVER. I actually want Micro$oft to die, as a company I mean.

I can't seem to shake the fact that I am forced to work with this Toshiba, and not my Apple. (Damn thieves. Dirty double damn to the people that stole my Apple, after the original was stolen) At any rate, their operating system, Vista, is all to familiar. I can't put my finger on it exactly. OH! Right it's because I've been using it for years now, but of course, when I used it, it was called OS X.

Intellectual property has absolutely no meaning to Bill Gate$' minions, Ballmer I'm looking directly at you, with you're beady little eyes, and your obvious addiction to crystal meth. (Someone check his teeth) But I do respect them for trying to pass ideas off as their own. I like it. And I'm pretty sure that even though they may have taken a few pointers from the boys and gals in Cupertino, I believe they make have worked out kinks. This remains to be seen however.
If Microsoft can pull off this charade, you know the one when they pretended to be original, I say kudos. Too bad my machine is only "Vista-Capable", I'd like to see what tricks you have up your sleeve!

In addition to Vista, Microsoft showed off it's Zune. Kind of shitty. Whatever. And a home server. Wow. Ummm, I wonder how many people will even understand that a server does not equal another computer and will even buy it. Maybe I underestimate the masses.

One thing I've seen from CES that I need is the new FujiFilm Finepix Z5fd. I love it. Look at it and drool.

1-2-3-4 Get Your Booty on the Floor

So I wake up at my parents house this morning, earlier than I have all break (noon). And, GASP, I remember I'm missing the MacWorld keynote from Steve Jobs. And now I'm pissed, cos really I could have slept in and not have felt bad.

I woke up thinking the world was going to be touched by something so extraordinary, so revolutionary, that I wouldn't remember the life I had left the day before. And what did I see when I watched live updates from the show this morning? A phone. A freaking phone.

Honestly. It has no touch pad. I'm almost pretty sure in a fit of desperation from punching that touchscreen, I will miss a keypad. Texting on the screen? I don't know. But the biggest turn off to me? The price. I'm a college student, and I love gadgets. I can never justify a purchase of $499, after the 2-year contract, PLUS the staggering fee I'd have to pay to use the internet on that thing.

After the appleTV, and this iPhone, I'm a little disappointed in the Big A. I've never felt so let down in my life. It's as though my long vacant father told me he'd take me to a ball game and left me sitting on the curb.... Tossing a ball in my mitt... Crying.
